Columbus County School District -

Columbus County Schools held a celebration of past, present and future school poet laureates recently. The School Poet Laureate Program was developed by NC Poet Laureate Jaki Shelton Green, with CCS being the first district to participate in 22-23. The celebration honored the inaugural anthology of poetry written by the current poet laureates, and all guests received a copy of the book dedicated to Ms. Green. The Poet Laureates for 24-25 were also introduced, and all poets

read an original poem.
